Developing Your Gym “Character”

How many times have you gone to the gym and you see that person who dawns the freshest gym gear and they look chiseled and attractive?

They have on the nice T, maybe have on a fresh hat with ears covered with large headphones as they sport a sweet backpack along with the perfect water bottle decorated in cool fitness stickers! AND… to top it all off, they have a super toned body. Not only do you find yourself watching them, but you see others noticing them too.

I’m so motivated by those individuals and I immediately think some of the following thoughts:

  • I bet he/she is on a strict diet and hardly ever cheats
  • I’m sure he/she never miss a workout 
  • I wish I had that type of discipline 
  • Man, that guy/gal’s gear is soo cool

And that leads to the final thought “I’m gonna get serious now!”

However these thoughts are motivating and inspiring and can have fire up your competitive juices!

So, how do you develop your gym character?

What do others see when they see you, AND, why is it important?

If you care about your gains, you should care about how you display your gains. There are lots of people who show up every day but you never really notice any difference in them year after year after year.

Take time to plan your workouts, plan your diet and develop your gym character. Be the person who others admire and be a positive motivating force to them.
